Govinda and David Dhawan, the ever popular comedy double-act are united once again for Kunwara. This time round David Dhawan’s comedy crown is slipping.

This afternoon’s meeting of the ICC Technical Committee has confirmed the request from the South African team to replace the injured Jonty Rhodes with left hand batsman Graeme Smith. In making its decision, the Committee also confirmed that Rhodes would not be eligible to rejoin the squad, even if another player in the South African squad is injured during the tournament.

Scott Styris’ battling 141 failed to prevent New Zealand from being beaten by Sri Lanka in their Pool B World Cup match in Bloemfontein.
The Kiwis were all out for 225 in the 46th over in reply to Sri Lanka’s 50-over total of 272 for seven.
Styris was the last man out when he was caught by Chaminda Vaas off Russel Arnold.
