Indian film-maker Pooja Bhatt’s latest venture “Rog” has proved a hit in the ongoing film festival in Pakistan. Besides, other Bollywood films like Maqbool and Dhoop are also attracting much crowds.

Starring Irfan Khan, “Rog” is Pooja’s second film in succession that has been premiered in Pakistan, the first one being “Paap”. Written by her father and director Mahesh Bhatt, “Rog” is a tale of a cop falling in love with a woman whose murder he is investigating.

On the occasion of film’s premier, Pooja told reporters that she was looking for talent for joint productions in Pakistan. “I will always look for musicians, actors, writers, lyric writers here because I feel a lot of talent is here. Music people are more talented here than India. And I genuinely believe that,” she said.

The actress-turned-producer said: “We were already in collaboration when I came here last time regarding film “Paap.” Ali Azmat, Rahat Ali Khan had contributed songs, and first time ever in the history, a Pakistani had composed background music for us.”

Pakistani film artists too hailed the idea saying it would further pave the way for a peace process between the two nations. Samina Pirzada, a top Pakistani actress and Director, said: “Mahesh and I are working on it, and let us see what happens. He has already done one project with Meera in it. That is the only future, – we work together towards peace, towards harmony and towards friendship.”

More than 100 movies – 28 feature films, 35 documentaries and 40 short-length movies from Europe, Latin America and Asia, are being shown at the ten-day festival. (ANI)
