The famous Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi and singer recently turned show stopper Hadiqa Kiyani has been nominated as national ambassadors on environment to promote the cause of environment and raise awareness among masses. The announcement has been made by Federal Minister for Environment Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi at the launch of Public Service Announcements on Water Conservation and Climate Change at the ministry.

It was hoped that these two globally famous celebs will promote soft image of the country and effectively convey the message of conservation at the national and global level.

Afridi being the most admired celebrity featured in various advertisements on air these days can make the campaign successful while Hadiqa Kiyani is the sweetheart of the nation as a rock star. Hopefully together they both can educate people about conservation of water and protection of environment to reduce the effects of global warming.
