A three-member high-powered Vietnamese delegation led by Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Ngoc Son was highly impressed by Beximco’s aspirational fashion apparel collections, as well as the strong capabilities Beximco has developed in vertical manufacturing, design, product development and mass production of 20m garments per year, with a planned expansion to produce 50m garments per year by 2005.

The Vietnamese delegation which held discussion with Beximco Textile’s CEO Syed Naved Husain included Tran Tuan Anh, Deputy Director General, Department of General Economic Affairs of Vietnam and Dang Ngoc Hung, Expert, Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

The Vietnamese Minister felt that his country could learn a lot from Beximco’s experience and invited Beximco official to visit Vietnam to review strategic areas of possible collaboration.
