Second Fashion Pakistan Week 2010 Day 1
Models sashay down catwalks, flaunting the latest creations by designers during the first day of Fashion Pakistan week with an opulent opening ceremony in Karachi on April 5, 2010.
The event is scheduled to feature 52 designers – 49 of them from Pakistan and one each from Malaysia, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates – in a follow-up to a first event held in Karachi last November.
Some of the Pakistani fashion designers whose designs were presented on the first day were:
- Sana Safinaz,
- Shakeel Saigal,
- Rabia,
- Zaheer Abbas,
- Monia Faruqi,
- Shahla Rehman,
- Alize Shah.
However, Sana Safina’s and Zaheer Abbas took the limelight. Also intriguing was a UAE-based designer with a collection titled Veil that brought up the loaded question of segregation in our society. All in all, the show was well attended with all the whos who of the fashion world, for which the credit goes to its organizer Ayesha Tammy Haq.

This fashion week has not created too much hype like the Fashion week in Lahore did, probably thats y I couldnt manage so much images of separate designers
but we will try to post according to your demand.
