Strange things happen in showbiz. And you don’t know how to explain it.
How do you explain the fact that Abhishek Bachchan’s next three films all have titles beginning with the letter ‘D’ - Drona, followed by Dostana and Delhi 6.
How do you explain the fact that last month Madhavan was shooting for two films simultaneously both beginning with the number ‘3′ - 3 Patti and 3 Idiots.
How do you rationalize the revival of interest in the supernatural? Eerie-fairies are flying around filmdom. The fur hadn’t even stopped flying over Phoonk - after a ceaseless string of homages to the underworld Ram Gopal Varma’s ode to the other-world.

‘1920′ has clicked and quite a few detractors in the industry are left wondering about the reason behind the film’s success. After all the film had Vikram Bhatt tag to it, the name which had seen 10 consecutive flops to his name in last 6 years. The film only featured newcomers, who were neither star-children nor heavily hyped. Adnan Sami’s music hardly did wonders to the film’s pre-release hype while the Ramzan/Ganesh Chaturthi period was hardly considered to be conducive to a film’s theatrical run.
So what really worked in the film’s favor? One basic thing - Smart packaging!

Vikram Bhatt and Aamir Khan go a long way back from when Vikram worked as an assistant director for Aamir’s films to casting Aamir for his hugely successful directorial venture ‘Ghulam’.
Now Vikram Bhatt is coming up with ‘1920′ which is due for release in September. Since the theatrical promos of Vikram’s ‘1920′ was ready, he requested Aamir to attach the promos of ‘1920′ to Aamir’s home production ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’. And Aamir Khan readily said yes for the same!
In an industry where people keep running each other down, its heart warming to see old friendships still going strong!
