For a 10 year old who may still be wondering what’s the fuss about the coming together of Shah Rukh Khan and Aditya Chopra, a trip to Maratha Mandir, Mumbai, is mandatory to check out Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge which is still running there for 13 uninterrupted years. And for the grown-ups, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi hardly needs an introduction. Of course, the music of any Yash Raj Film is special because regardless the fate of some of their recent films, music continues to be highpoint of the production house, Tashan and Bachna Ae Haseeno being the case in point.

MUMBAI: Fans will see Shahrukh Khan deviating from his usual heartthrob roles in his new film “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”.

The Bollywood superstar who has mostly played the young romantic lead in over 60 films, stretching over two decades, will be basing his character on a middle-aged man he met while hosting a popular TV game show.

However, in new film “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”, Khan will not be seen in his fitted designer outfits, and will instead play a bespectacled government employee in ill-fitting trousers.

Akshay Kumar has given the maximum number of hits in the last one year and now the box office collections of his new release ‘Singh Is Kinng’ has cemented his position as the number one star.

“But I don’t want that. I’m not a superstar. I’m not saying this for effect. I’m only here to entertain people. I keep telling my wife I don’t want to be either No.1 or No.2. I just want to be alive and kicking in the film industry,” Akshay told us.

Akshay describes ‘Singh Is Kinng’ as an entertainer.

Yet another Yashraj’s product, Bachna Ae Haseeno, is a flick which would be especially liked by the youth. This romantic movie deals with a young guy Ranbir, who falls in love with 3 ladies at different time, first, when he is in HSC (1996), second when he starts working with a company in Mumbai (2002) and third when he moves to Australia.

After winning the Filmfare award for best actor (Devdas), Shahrukh made a late night fleeting appearance at the post party only to dash off to the airport to catch a flight to London. Accompanied by close friends like Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Jai Mehta. On arriving in the city, he attended the 54th BAFTA awards in London and on Monday afternoon was admitted to a hospital, where at 4pm (Indian standard time) he underwent his much delayed back operation. He is now recuperating at the hospital. We wish him good health.
