After 11 flops, Vikram Bhatt looks for a HIT in 1920

Once upon a time there was a film maker called Vikram Bhatt who hit gold with whatever he made. Films like ‘Fareb’ (adulterous drama), ‘Ghulam’ (action social), ‘Kasoor’ (courtroom drama), ‘Raaz’ (musical horror) and ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’ (action comedy) traversed genres and proved to be blockbusters.

Then started a bad professional phase for this Bhatt protégé who has now delivered an astonishing 11 back to back box office duds. With his last success being ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’ (2002), it has been nothing short of a harrowing five years for the film maker who is longing to taste success.

Amisha Patel now in SRK’S upcoming movie - Billoo Barber

Shahrukh Khan is collaborating with top directors Priyadarshan for a comedy flick titled Billoo Barber featuring Amisha Patel, Irfan Kahan ans Shahrukh Khan.

This film is inspired from the Krishna - Sudama episode and remake of Malayalam film Katha Parayumbol. The film about two child hood friend - a barber and a rich filmstar. Shahrukh is playing a rich filmstar while Irfan his barber friend who married Amisha. Amisha will have some scenes with SRK. We have also seen them in some sequence in Om Shanti Om.

Meera’s ”Nazar”

Lollywood’s popular cine star Meera is in Mumbai to act in her first Indian film.

Meera told reporters here that she would be staying in Mumbai for a month to complete her Bollywood movie ‘Nazar’ which is set to be released around the time of Diwali.

Responding to eager queries from callers during an FM-101 program, the Daily Times quoted her as saying that she would playing the lead role of a stage singer and performer in the film.

Co-produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Sevy Ali, Meera is paired with Ashmit Patel, the brother of “Gadar-Ek Prem Kahani” actress Amisha Patel.

Gadar-Ek Prem Katha, one of a handful of Bollywood period films releasing this summer, tells the story of true love overcoming religious barriers.

SET during the 1947 Partition, one the most traumatic events in Indian history, the film tells the story of Tara Singh a Sikh truck driver (Sunny Deol) and Sakina, a Muslim college girl (Amisha Patel).

The couple meet and become friends, but the tragic circumstances of Partition result in Tara Singh’s family being massacred by Muslims and Sakina being separated from her family during the chaotic rush to flee to the newly formed Pakistan.
