All of us want to look young and beautiful. But how many really stay that way? As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and if you want to look attractive and fresh, you should follow not just an efficient beauty regime, but also a regular one.
For busy homemakers and corporate executives alike, it is not always possible to maintain a regular beauty regime, unless it is a habitual visit to the nearest beauty salon. Instead of spending money on artificial and expensive treatments, here is a simple schedule to groom yourself naturally. Just before you go to bed, allot a period of ten minutes. Yes, all it takes is just that little time to keep you looking young and glowing.

Want to stay cool but look hot when the temperature’s hitting 40o Here are some smart suggestions that will help you pull it off.
Go bare. We mean makeup. Summer makeup is minimal. People should be able to see your features and not makeup when you meet them. But if you really need to even out your skin tone, apply foundation with a damp sponge. It will go on smoothly and streaks won’t spoil the effect.
Colour me beautiful. This summer, the best shades in makeup to accentuate your peeress are warm. A touch of bronze or coral seems to work perfectly well when you want just a hint of polish on your lids.

Taking care of yourself is a daily affair. It is part of that well-groomed look. In fact, beauty is not just a question of how you look, but how you feel and at no time is this more relevant than during the hot days of summer.
Make-up and grooming both pose problems during summers. Due to excessive heat and perspiration, make-up never seems to last. Therefore it should be kept to a bare minimum, especially during the day.

A fabulous movie called ‘Fedora’ spoke about an ageing movie star’s fight against time. Secluded in an old villa, with only her mother for company, Fedora meets a young man whom she falls in love with. He marvels at how young she looks; only her hands give away her age. But, we learn at the end, that the old crone we know as the mother is actually Fedora. The woman we are told is Fedora is actually her daughter. And yes, her hands have been artificially aged to make the impersonation credible.

Feet are hardest working parts of the body, but we rarely make time to give them the attention they need. A weekly pampering pedicure and massage is the answer and will leave feet feeling refreshed and ready for action.
1. Soak feet in a bowl of water for about ten minutes. Add two to three drops of essential oil of lavender for an even more relaxing effect.
2. Dry the feet. Clip the toe-nails across and file smooth.
3. Rub feet with an exfoliating body scrub, paying particular attention to any rough skin that may have formed on the heels and the balls of the feet. Wash off all traces of exfoliator and dry the feet thoroughly.
4. Support the foot with one hand by placing your thumb on the sole and your fingers on the top. Use the other hand to massage a cooling foot lotion or an overall body moisturizer into the foot. Start at the base of each toe and work down the foot making small circular movements with your thumb and forefinger.
5. Work the lotion between the toes and massage each toe by gently rolling it between your fingers. This helps to stimulate the circulation and pressure points. Repeat steps 4 and 5 on the other foot.
6. Lie down for about five minutes with your feet above the head, either resting a pillow or against a wall. This relieves tension in the feet and legs and can help aching veins.
