November 26th, 2008

Spicezee Bureau Mumbai, Nov 25: Call it superstition or lady luck, but Akshay Kumar is desperately seeking Katrina in all his films. The uber hit onscreen jodi that have been touted ‘King and Queen’ at the Box Office this year are in no mood to part ways, for the man in this filmy relationship is exploring all ways to rope in the long legged lass in all his ventures. Then even if that means the ‘Kinng’ will have to twist a few things or two, the actor doesn’t seem to mind it at all.

Katrina: ‘Watch Yuvvraaj for Salman and me’

November 23rd, 2008

You seem to be the Queen of Big Budget films. After the super-duper ‘Race’ and ‘Singh Is Kinng’, you have yet another biggie lined up for release — ‘Yuvvraaj’. How does it feel?

It feels great but I don’t think budget has anything to do with the quality of a film. It’s the content and presentation which matters at the end of the day. Yuvvraaj being a musical drama, it calls for grand visuals and a certain larger than life canvas.

The film seems like a complete entertaining drama. Could you tell us something more about the film?

Salman Khan- Katrina Kaif romance in public

November 7th, 2008

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are playing lovers for the first time in upcoming flick, Yuvvraaj though they have acted together in several films.

This is also the time when Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have gone public with their off screen romance.

Salman and Katrina have decided to go public no matter what the odds. Too much intimacy on screen and off screen may deter family audiences.

On the other hand Katrina believes that an off screen romance will have no impact on the fate of a film as Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor proved in Jab We Met.

Katrina Kaif tries 200 gowns!

October 30th, 2008

You have heard of the film ‘27 Dresses’, but guess what?

Reportedly, Katrina Kaif tried over 200 gowns for one particular scene in Subhash Ghai’s Yuvvraaj.

A source revealed, “Katrina’s look in Yuvvraaj is very classic and very regal with the emphasis on empire line waistlines and Grecian gowns. Before starting the schedule of Yuvvraaj, Katrina tried over 200 different gowns spending the entire day with Delhi based designers Gauri and Nanika.”

The source said that the reason for Katrina tiring out the gowns was because she wanted to have that perfect look. “Each gown gave a different effect. Katrina wanted to then zero in on gowns that would make a very fairy tale kind of impact on screen.”

If you thought that Indian filmmakers were not competent enough to come out with a hardcore super-duper entertaining animation flick, then you’re sadly mistaken for now ‘Yash Raj Films’ (YRF), who have been under a public scanner for making films a mere business or a ploy to mint money. They have also been weathering accusations that they have reduced to being sheer businessmen, and have come up with a product that will hopefully put an end to such indictments.

Salman and Katz’s chemistry!

October 24th, 2008

Yup, there’s a lot of action and chemistry brewing in the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif love story. So we can safely say a ‘thumbs down’ to all those sources claiming that the love story has reached its climax, probably it’s just pyar ke side effects.

But whatever may the truth about Kats-Sallu’s real life romance, their on-screen magic is a stunner. It’s sizzling! Yeah, ask us. We were the lucky ones who got an advance sneak peek at some scenes of Subhash Ghai’s Yuvvraj. And we must say, we were blown away.

Lara Dutta gets desperate

October 7th, 2008

When she first came into limelight as Miss India and then Miss Universe, Lara Dutta seemed to be a terribly intelligent dame. But after eight long years it seems she just doesn’t know how to play her cards right.

Priyanka Chopra who came second to her at the pageant that year (2000), went on to become Miss World, made her debut alongside Lara in 2003 and left her miles behind. PC has worked in big films and with almost every big hero in town, while Lara seems to be stuck in the same place! After working in flop movies and doing bit parts in multi-starrers what more could she expect anyway?

Katrina Kaif seems to be riding the crest of a bright new wave of success. The things have been happening to her career within just a matter of time, sometimes surrounding like a fairytale coming true.

She has given six blockbusters back to back in the recent times and as a result she has been signing some of the very best films. The actress seems to have her kitty full of projects and directors and actors are just dying to work with her. If the latest hearsay is something to go by then the actress has apparently bagged the lead role in a film which will be directed by the eternal romantic filmmaker of the Indian silver screen, Yash Chopra.
