Strange things happen in showbiz. And you don’t know how to explain it.
How do you explain the fact that Abhishek Bachchan’s next three films all have titles beginning with the letter ‘D’ - Drona, followed by Dostana and Delhi 6.
How do you explain the fact that last month Madhavan was shooting for two films simultaneously both beginning with the number ‘3′ - 3 Patti and 3 Idiots.
How do you rationalize the revival of interest in the supernatural? Eerie-fairies are flying around filmdom. The fur hadn’t even stopped flying over Phoonk - after a ceaseless string of homages to the underworld Ram Gopal Varma’s ode to the other-world.

The on going Airtel cell phone ad films have turned out to be a major boon in disguise of actor Madhavan. His pairing with Vidya Balan in Guru was appreciated for the superb chemistry they shared between them and it has now only got better with the Airtel ads featuring the two together.
The popularity of Madhavan in the Airtel commercials has resulted in a huge turnout of offers from respected makers and top production houses. Madhavan’s career had never really picked up even after a super hit like Rang De Basanti. But now he has makers like Rajkumar Hirani (3 Idiots), Vashu Bhagnani, UTV, Reliance Big Entertainment and the makers of Teen Patti having signed him for their forthcoming projects. Reliance has even signed Madhavan for their Tamil projects.

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam has made another hit for South Indian cinema. Clickwalla reviews his latest offering – Alaipayuthey (Romantic Reckonings).
EVER heard of a messy, congested suburban railway station playing cupid? You’ll find one here, as filmmaker Mani Ratnam proves he can make even this drab backdrop look romantic.
There is suspense, romance and there is drama aplenty. Madhavan (the star of many noisy forgettable Hindi soaps) plays the male lead, Karthik. When offered the role by Ratnam he confessed he felt the same way a student would if he was asked to work with Bill Gates, and then laughed at his own admission.
