Fish and olive oil help against skin cancer

It’s well documented that following a Mediterranean diet can have health benefits. The ingredients in Mediterranean recipes are full of heart-healthy nutrients. But new research now also links Mediterranean food with the prevention of malignant melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer. Because the fresh produce eaten by southern Europeans includes carrots, tomatoes, watermelon, olive oil and fish, it has been found to protect our skin from damaging UV rays.
