Moin Akhtar to be waxed for Madame Tussauds

Did Madame Tussauds wax museum offer to create a wax statue in remembrance of Pakistan’s iconic comedian Moin Akhtar?
Mansoor Akhtar, son of the late actor Moin Akhtar, confirmed to The Express Tribune that while he did receive a call from an international asking his permission to create a wax statue of his father, he was not sure if it was authentic or not.

This has been quite an eventful week in the world of performing arts, from the death of the legendary Moin Akhtar to the staging of an original Urdu musical, Sabz, at the Arts Council. The premises of the Arts Council pulsated with patriotic sentiments, foreshadowing what was to come later on in the play.

In last one month Pakistan has lost its several Big Actors and Comedians like Babu Baral, Liaquat Soldier and Mastana and latest shocking news is that legendary Actor, Iconic compere  and a great entertainer  Moin Akhtar has also died due to heart attack .  He was a comedian par excellence, but his last act left an entire nation in tears. Hoooo… Channo ki aankh mein ik nasha hai. I thought I heard someone sing…dang, you hear it too, don’t you?
Resonating throughout Pakistan, USA, UK, and all around the world for that matter, the sudden Channo-mania has caused quite a hullabaloo, uproar, and frenzy. The man behind the mania, whose voice is often compared to Kishore Kumar’s, is none other than, painter/model/singer, Monsieur Ali Zafar.
