Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra (of AKS and RANG DE BASANTI fame) the movie is reportedly based on Mehra’s growing up years in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. Although Farhan Akhtar had scripted his debut film DIL CHAHTA HAI, his next film – LAKSHYA – won’t be scripted by the talented director, but by his father, writer Javed Akhtar. Samina Peerzada will act opposite Indian film star Om Puri in a co-produced drama serial, sources told Daily Times on Thursday.
Sources said Ms Peerzada signed the 13-episode serial and would play lead role opposite Mr Ompuri. According to reports, serial producer Humanyun Saeed has requested Ms Peerzada to perform in the serial written by Karachi-based writer Seema Ghazal.
