At The Designer’s pre-eid launch, one observed how cleverly retailer Asad Tareen brought in names like Sadaf Malaterre, Adnan Pardesy, Mohsin Ali and Akif Mahmood, who have wowed us on the ramp but left us skeptical of when they retail.

Day two didn’t quite have the buzz of fashion week, but, the divinely decorated French vanilla Karma cupcakes in the front row and a spectacular Eden erected on stage made up for the dull environment.

Day 4 marked the Closing Day of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, November 2010, in Karachi. Day 4 was buzzing with fashion, music and high drama! Sadaf Malaterre’s womenswear collection at PFDC fashion week Lahore is inspired by all that which surrounds her and more specifically, color. Based in pure silks and satins, Sadaf’s collection is dedicated to the memory of acclaimed Pakistani artist and dear friend, the late Asim Butt who inspired the designer and constantly encouraged the designer to experiment with color.
