Pakistan’s First ‘Mothers Expo & Conference 2009′ is being organized by ‘Campaign’ and ‘Crafters Tec’ in collaboration with Women Development Department of Sindh on 30th , 31st October & 1st November 2009 at Expo Center, Karachi.
Mother Expo is a Premiere event showcasing pre and post-natal products and services ranging up to the age of five. Mother Expo brings together a diverse selection of buyers and exhibitors directed at the maternity, infant & toddler and the growing family markets.
The exhibition aims at highlighting the role/respect of mother amongst people and also raising awareness in mothers regarding their responsibilities in order to play their better role for development of the society.

All the rooms and pavilions of the Mohatta Palace Museum buzzed with activity as a major exhibition showcasing the history of Karachi got under way on Wednesday.
Organized by the Mohatta Palace Museum in collaboration with the Dawn Group of Newspapers, the 90-day exhibition is titled Jewel in the crown: Karachi under the Raj 1843-1947.

The Pakistan chapter of the UK-based international NGO, Oxfam, has recently begun broadcasting a radio series aimed at raising public awareness of honor killings. In general, women fall victim to a variety of assorted crimes carried out under the common name of ‘honor’ across the country, argue rights activists.
